Overnight Parking Area for Motorhomes

​

§ 1 Scope of Application and Conclusion of Contract

1. These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts regarding the temporary provision of parking spaces at the City BaseCamp Berlin motorhome parking area (hereinafter referred to as the "Operator").

2. The parking area is not a campsite, but strictly an overnight parking facility.

3. Bookings are accepted exclusively online. The contract is concluded upon completion of the booking process and receipt of full payment.

4. By making a booking, the guest acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these GTC as well as the supplementary House Rules. ​

§ 2 Intended Use and Duration of Stay

1. The parking area is intended exclusively for short-term overnight stays within one's own vehicle.

2. Permanent residential use, long-term parking, or establishing a primary residence at the site is not permitted.

3. The maximum duration of stay is limited to 7 nights per vehicle.

4. This facility is intended for visitors to Berlin, short-stay vacationers, and travelers passing through. ​

§ 3 Permitted Vehicles and Parking Space Assignment

1. Only the following vehicles—provided they are road-legal and insured—are permitted:

   • Motorhomes

   • Camper vans

   • Converted buses

   • Caravans are not permitted!

2. There is no entitlement to a specific parking space.

3. The Operator reserves the right to assign an available parking space to the guest. Vehicles may be parked only within the designated areas.

4. Repairs, maintenance work, or vehicle washing are not permitted.

§ 4 Not a Campsite – Prohibition of Camping Behavior

The parking pitch is expressly not a campsite.

The following are specifically not permitted:

• driving onto the site with caravans

• pitching tents or sleeping outside the vehicle

• awnings, gazebos, or other temporary structures

• placing camping furniture outside the vehicle

• barbecuing, open fires, or fireworks

• recreational, sporting, or event-related activities

• commercial activities

Violations may result in immediate expulsion from the site.

§ 5 Booking, Payment, and Cancellation

1. Payment

• Full payment is required at the time of online booking.

• Reservations cannot be made without payment.

2. Cancellation

• Cancellations are free of charge up to 3 days prior to arrival (subject to a 7% processing fee).

  • Cancellations must be performed by the customer personally within the direst GmbH booking system (via the personal customer login).

• Less than 3 days prior to arrival / No-show: No refund.

3. Late Arrival

• In the event of a late arrival, the parking pitch will be held for the entire duration of the booking.

• No refunds will be issued for late arrivals or early departures.

§ 6 Arrival and Departure / Quiet Hours

1. Departure: 07:00 – 11:00

   • If this time is exceeded, an additional night will be charged automatically.

2. Arrival:

   • Standard: 12:00 – 18:00

   • Late Arrival: 18:00 – 22:00

3. Quiet Hours:

   • Daily from 22:00 – 07:00

   • No vehicle movement is permitted during this time.

4. Access to the site is controlled via an automated barrier and gate system.

   • Between the hours of 22:00 and 07:00, it is not possible to open the gate or barrier from the outside using a barcode.

§ 6a Access, Access System, and Security

1. Access to the parking site premises is permitted exclusively to authorized guests.

2. Authorized persons include all individuals who have been registered as accompanying travelers as part of a valid booking and who belong to the booked vehicle.

3. Upon completion of the booking, the guest receives a barcode that remains valid for the duration of the booked stay.

4. The barcode entitles all registered persons associated with the booking to:

   • use the vehicle entrance via the gate and barrier;

   • use the pedestrian door;

   • use booked services (e.g., electricity, showers), provided that sufficient credit is available.

5. The barcode is linked specifically to the vehicle and booking; it may be used exclusively by the persons associated with that booking.

6. Passing on the barcode to, or allowing its use by, external persons not associated with the booking is strictly prohibited.

7. Guests are obliged to ensure that no unauthorized persons gain access to the premises. In particular, it is forbidden to allow external persons to enter the premises alongside you when opening the gate, barrier, or pedestrian door.

8. The pedestrian door must be closed immediately after each passage.

9. These access regulations are intended to ensure the safety of all guests and to protect the parking site premises.

10. In the event of violations of these regulations, the operator is entitled to take appropriate measures, up to and including immediate expulsion from the premises. In such cases, there is no entitlement to a refund.

§ 7 Conduct, Quiet, and Consideration

1. Guests must conduct themselves with consideration for others and avoid making noise.

2. Parents are liable for their children and are required to supervise them.

3. Pets are permitted but must:

   • be kept on a leash at all times

   • be walked outside the premises

   • Any soiling of the grounds must be cleaned up immediately.

§ 8 Waste, Greywater, and Toilet Disposal

1. Waste must be sorted and disposed of exclusively in the designated containers.

2. Only waste generated during the current stay may be disposed of on the premises.

3. Greywater and blackwater may be disposed of only at the designated disposal stations.

4. The emptying of toilet cassettes is permitted exclusively in the area designated for this purpose. Only cassette toilets that have been operated either without additives or with biological/microbiological additives may be emptied at the disposal column. The disposal of cassette toilets containing chemical (blue) toilet additives via the disposal column is prohibited!

5. Violations may result in claims for damages and/or expulsion from the premises.

§ 9 Right of Domicile and Expulsion

1. The operator exercises the right of domicile (authority over the premises). I

2. n the event of violations of these Terms and Conditions or the House Rules, the operator is entitled to:

   • issue instructions

   • terminate the stay

   • issue an immediate order to leave the premises

3. In such cases, there is no entitlement to a refund.

§ 10 Liability​

1. Use of the parking space is at one's own risk.

2. The operator shall be liable without limitation in cases of intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health.

3. In cases of simple negligence, the operator shall be liable only for the breach of material contractual obligations and limited to foreseeable damages.

4. No liability is assumed for theft, damage, or force majeure (e.g., adverse weather conditions), insofar as legally permissible.

5. The guest shall be liable for all damages caused by themselves, their fellow travelers, or their animals.

§ 11 Data Protection

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with statutory regulations.

The separately published Privacy Policy applies.

§ 12 Final Provisions

1. German law shall apply.

2. Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

3. The place of jurisdiction shall be Berlin, insofar as legally permissible.
